Joint routing and scheduling for large-scale deterministic IP networks

With the advent of 5G and evolution Internet protocols, industrial applications are moving from vertical solutions to general purpose IP-based infrastructures that need meet deterministic Quality Service (QoS) requirements. The IETF DetNet working group aims at providing an answer this with support for (i) worst-case latency jitter, (ii) zero packet loss time-sensitive traffic. In paper we focus on joint routing scheduling problem in large-scale networks using Cycle Specified Queuing Forwarding (CSQF), extension Cyclic (CQF) multiple transmission queues segment routing. context, present two centralized algorithms maximize traffic acceptance network planning online flow admission. We propose effective solution based column generation dynamic programming. Thanks reinforcement model valid inequalities, improve upper bound solution. demonstrate realistic instances reach optimality gap smaller than 10% a few seconds. Finally, also derive ultra-fast adaptive greedy algorithm solve cost small extra gap.
